  • Ideation to execution: Lead, guide, and mastermind the process of gathering design and business requirements to craft and create product features and solutions. Create user personas and journey maps to define target demographics and establish the ideal workflow. Convert and output these ideas through pixel-perfect composites and prototypes for stakeholders, product managers, QA engineers, and developers to experience and use as the main source of reference. Applies to desktop, tablet, and phone experiences (iOS and Android included).
  • User research, testing, and validation: Initiate and lead all user testing efforts for in-person and remote sessions. Work closely with PMs and business to create test scenarios and validate design and business hypotheses. Analyze testing results and discuss design priorities with the team.
  • Project management: Lead and initiate requirements gathering. Create user stories and maintain project board and velocity. Lead grooming sessions and establish project checkpoints and milestones. Consistently connect the development progress with the business side.
  • SDLC conscious: Mindful of the roles of each teammate. Lead client demos and sprint reviews. Gather feedback, discuss, and initiate iterations with the team. Assist in story prioritization and backlog organization.
  • Concept to code: Coordinate with dev team to identify framework and tech stack. Deliver dev-ready, review, and validate HTML/CSS code with dev team. Create and manage pull requests.
  • Post-code commitment: Provide QA guidance and assistance in writing ACs and validating staging site against signed-off composites and prototypes.
  • Business development: Identify UX / UI opportunities to use as case studies as a marketing campaign and / or a blog article for the company. Perform UX assessments to promote the company’s UX discipline and seek new business opportunities.
  • Lead by example: Mentor, inspire, and provide guidance to fellow UX / UI designers in the department. Lead team building exercises and initiate design challenges and projects for the UX team. Spearhead creative sessions not related to current projects to ignite the team’s creative ideas.
